The United Social Workers Collaborative (USWC) unites BSW, MSW, DSW, PhD and all other social workers to strengthen, safeguard, and elevate the profession across all practice settings. Rooted in our shared commitment to social justice, we advocate for policies and practices that honor the expertise, training, and lived experience of social workers. Through collective action, interdisciplinary collaboration, and leadership development, USWC empowers social workers at every level to confront inequity, transform systems, and champion the communities we serve.

What is our vision?

We envision a future where social workers from, BSW to PhD, are recognized as essential, evidence-driven leaders in health, education, policy, and community systems. A future where our profession is respected, protected, and fully integrated within interdisciplinary teams without being diminished, marginalized, or excluded. The United Social Workers Collaborative strives for a world where our unified advocacy reshapes systems to be equitable, trauma-informed, and socially just, ensuring that social workers have the influence, resources, and representation needed to create lasting change.

Who are we?

The United Social Workers Collaborative (USWC) was created out of a growing need for unified, organized advocacy that centers the expertise and lived experience of social workers at every level, BSW, MSW, DSW, PhD and all other levels. As systems of care continue to shift, and as professional identities face political and structural threats, social workers are called to stand together with renewed clarity and collective strength. USWC brings together social workers across practice areas, clinical, community, macro, academic, policy, medical, child welfare, behavioral health, corrections, research, and beyond, while embracing interdisciplinary collaboration with allied professions. We believe intersectionality is not an option but a necessity, shaping how we understand communities, navigate systems, and uphold justice. We are a collaborative that listens deeply, acts boldly, and advocates relentlessly. We hold space for students and emerging professionals while amplifying the expertise of seasoned practitioners and scholars. Together, we rise to protect the profession, strengthen the workforce, and build a future where social work leadership is undeniable, valued, and unshakeable.
